The 47-year-old actor - who has two children with tea - admits he was nervous about what his wife might think of his erotic kiss with co-star Gillian Anderson in science fiction film.
When asked if he worried about the reaction of Tea to the scene, David replied: "Yes! But fortunately we were filming in Canada so I do not have to deal with him!"
Gillian - who reprises her role as Dana Scully alongside David Fox Mulder in the film - also hinted the couple star in another movie after the death of former FBI agents, and will be even more explicit.
She said: "I think the next film will be X-rated!"
David added to the U.S. television show "Extra": "I do not think that people will want to see us more after this!"
