The winner of the last few years, American Idol, David Cook, was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. David Cook performed her new single "Light On" and sounded very good. See David Cook on SNL video.

Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Audioslave co-wrote "Light On" with Brian Howes, who has also written material for Daughtry, puddle of Mudd and Oklahoma City rockers Hinder.

His second performance was SNL "Declaration", the first track on his next album.

ASHTON KUTCHER and DEMI MOORE ON FRIDAY NIGHT PARTY

This year's Halloween in Hollywood revealed all sorts of creative costumes worn by our favorite celebrities. And Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore decided to bring suits for the party on Friday night - nipples.

The "Punk'd" studies and "Charlie's Angels" takes his wife to turn Bardot nightclub in Los Angeles, although they refused to wear their costumes left nipple, as they go home.

Instead, Ashton was a warm-up suit, while Demi covered his face with one of the suits who made their way to the waiting limousine.

In related news, Kutcher has been spending much of his free time, coaching Harvard-Westlake High School football team to a 4-2 season so far. And he told the press recently that the experience has been unbelievable for him.

"Although football is not a big step for humanity ... it is a big step for me. I'm not there to teach them, because they are there to teach me."

And while her much younger husband is out romping around with his players, Demi has been working hard on "Meet the Joneses" next to "Californication" star David Duchovny.

HSM3 BOX OFFICE WEEKEND GROSS

High School Musical 3: Senior Year overcame a weak night of Halloween gross $ 15 million for the weekend and remain top of the box office ranking, by studio estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations today.

On the other hand, Kevin Smith Zack and Miri Make a Porno enjoyed the best debut Kevin smithi ($ 10.7 million), while the Clint Eastwood-directed mystery Angelina Jolie, Changeling, enjoy the best theater for the work of any movie theater in a large release ($ 9.4 million).

Most of the other numbers are scary.

Both HSM3 and saw V ($ 10.1 million) will nosedive business for more than 60 percent since last weekend.

The spell of Molly Hartley ($ 6 million), with Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford, was about as wide as an attractive show CW, that is, it was not. (On the other hand, the teen movie would cost only about 5 million dollars to produce).

After three successful weeks in limited release, in Guy Ritchie RocknRolla suffered an unsuccessful week throughout the news (1.8 million dollars).

Overall, ticket sales for major films were down nearly 40 percent from the same weekend last year. Things would have been worse for HSM3, which grossed just $ 1.7 million on Friday, if it had not recovered a $ 8.3 million Saturday.

The best news came from abroad, where the new James Bond, Quantum of Solace, a joint UK-record opening day Friday, gross about $ 8 million.

If Hollywood is grateful trick-or-treating only lasts one night, probably even more thankful holiday movie season arrives next weekend. And that Quantum of Solace opens Nov. 14 here.

Here is a look at the lost-and-successes of the just-completed fall box office:

* Shia LaBeouf in Eagle Eye ($ 92.5 million in total) made more money.
* Kirk Cameron of the Fireproof ($ 26.1 million) made the most amazing money a budget of $ 500,000.
* The Coen Brothers' Burn After Reading (59 million dollars) more money than the movies now more conventional (and most Coen Brothers films, too).
* The $ 20 million Beverly Hills Chihuahua ($ 84.1 million) more money than Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe $ 70 million Body of Lies ($ 34.6 million).
* Very quiet, Richard Gere and Diane Lane Nights in Rodanthe ($ 40.3 million) also made more money than the Body of Lies.
* Do not rub, but Robert De Niro and Al Pacino fair de la Mata ($ 39.4 million) outgrossed Governing Body of Lies, too.
* Oliver Stone of the W. ($ 22.4 million), which, storywise, Nixon was more than JFK was, gross-wise, more Nixon (13.7 million dollars) to JFK ($ 70.4 million).
* Bill Maher to make fun of religion-documentary, Religulous ($ 11.5 million), a source of inspiration outgrossed football biopic (The Express, $ 9.6 million), a World War II, the theater (Miracle at St. Anna, $ 7.8 million), a family fantasy (City of Ember, $ 7.3 million), and a real-American to hold the comedy (An American Carol, $ 7 million) .
